@schwarzesonne its the responsibility of the voters to take politics seriously. I was in California during the last governor election and the whole process seemed like a parody of itself. In a democracy politicians are no bigger bastards then you let them get away with being.

Its not sure (though likely) the shooter thought he was killing Arabians. Regardless deeds like this should be considered proof there is something very wrong with the world we've build for ourselves.

Thats the thing with decentralization, and freedom, you can't tell others what they can or cannot do (or restrict). Its part of the reason why absolute national sovereignty (or state sovereignty for Americans) is not feasible or desirable.

As I've said elsewhere I am a supporter of the EU, mainly because politics has long been gone from the community anyway, so it should be collectivized to a effective scale. makes me wonder, can a US state really be considered as a community? They tend to be larger in size and population then my nation (Netherlands) and we have a hard time feeling very Dutch.

I must agree with the ending sentence. Heathenry should not be to focused on the ''correctness'' of the myths and attributes of the Gods. Once we properly re-establish regular contacts with the Gods, we can give our own equally legitimate spin to the myths and to the Gods.
