Re: Anglo-Saxon Heathen beliefs

Getting onto A-S Heathen beliefs is a really hard one....we got our Gods cutoff in the late 6tth and later centuries by a bunch of italians posing as Godi... a Painful transition involving pennance as they said (enforced doing without) for the simplest infraction such as burning grain at burial cere...

Re: The Loki Thread

forgive me for rambling and wandering on this...something I'm working on at the moment....bear with me... All the gods are aspects of ourselves, and as such each has things to offer......Don't despise Loki he's a useful chap to have on your side (albeit he can't be held for long and if you try you'l...

Re: Nazitru, FB groups, and D-bags

Re: Taking the Lore literally?

was it ever meant to be taken literally, the Lore comes down from a series of stories and not written accounts (until much later) told to re-enforce society values and teach people how to behave....and of course of what that was not acceptable.... Often it's more interesting to look at the various A...

Re: Folkish/Universalist Poll

Ahh what is a Heathen and where do I stand....hmmmm interessting can anyone become a Heathen - I certainly wouldn't stand in their way and would positively encourage them and yet Heathenry is at base a set of social norms that really applies to the Northern Germanic world and not other parts - who h...

Re: MEAD

Making Mead is really quite simple ingredients 4½lb. of honey yeast nutrient If a wine yeast is to be used, have it activated and ready in advance. Doesn't need to be any particular type. Some use lemon juice as well to add a tang to the mead but personally I like mead pure. Method Bring the honey t...
