Re: Germanic Mythology/Literature/Culture 101
It is very possible that Snorri was of dual faith, But I have nothing to back that up except the customs that have come down to us and a few mentions in the sagas, so I consider it speculation on my part. I also believe that Snorri had to change the story a bit or else risk the possibility of being ...

Re: Non Heathen Partners

Re: Why do you believe?
It just fits my world view, it let's me connect to my culture and personify nature. Its teaches honor pride and success rather than humility and poverty like some religions. A man or woman can be a PROUD heathen, a man or woman can only be a HUMBLE christian [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://h...

Re: Non Heathen Partners
Having had bad experiences with non-Heathen partners, I would only go with a Heathen one now. But since I'm a hermit now it's a moot point

Re: The Loki Thread
Odd, I would've considered Odin to be the mischievous trickster type. I've heard a lot of UPG about how he fucks with people who are dedicated to him. I guess that's why I'm a Thor/Thunor man :D And if I gave the impression that I was condemning Loki, that was not my intention. He's just never been...

Re: The Heathen Worldview
I think the concept of having one's fate fixed sounds a bit too much like predestination, I have always been under the understanding that one creates their fate through their actions, thus not fixed.
