We have been running a study group split between Asatru and northern history, tradition, combat practice and Hellenic religion, tradition, history, philosophy and combat for 2 years now and we are really quite stunned by the similarities we find between the them, to the point that our group believes there's a glimpse of the ancient roots of both coming into view. Currently, when our next study season kicks off on Oct 2nd, we will be looking at the origins of the ancient Greeks, who have it seems strong ties to the Germanic tribes of the north, not only by blood but by culture as well. The astonishing trade that went on stretching all over must have facilitated these things, as well as direct invasion of the Mediterranean areas by the Celts and Germanics. So why am I posting this here? Well, if anyone else has an interest in what we have and are finding, then I could post our research and ideas here. Blessings!
