I was recently asked why I believe in heathenry. My answer was summed up as:

Because it makes sense to me, and I believe it to be true.

So why do you believe?

It just fits my world view, it let's me connect to my culture and personify nature. Its teaches honor pride and succsuss rarther than hunility and poverty like some religions. A man or woman can be a PROUD heathen, a man or woman can only be a HUMBLE christian

I believe because a)the Gods and other wights have a reality (or at least I experience them as if they do) and honouring them has brought me great inspiration and understanding, which hopefully has radiated out to others around me as well. b)it's genuinely made me a better person, more effective in life, more focused on what's important such as family and friends c)it's a genuine old religion, even if I practice a modern, adapted version of it and have incorporated other indo-european notions into it as well (some Neo-Platonism, Hindu ideas and such.)
