Non Heathen Partners

How do you all feel about nonheathen BFs/GFs?

To me it seems like it would be difficult but there's no heathen woman around here, so I don't have a lot of options when it comes to the ladys, what is your guys' view!experiances?

I think if you have tolerance for other belief systems there shouldn't be a problem.

Incidentally, every heathen guy I've dated really sucked. The nicest guys I've dated have been christian.

To me it wouldn't make sense to date a christian because of the history between our two faiths, not to mention a basic tenet of christianity is that anyone who's not christian goes to hell I can't reconcile with that. Can't date a muslim or a jew, they are to traditional for my taste.

Seems that Athiests and religiouse naturalists would make sense.

But also part of it is being able to share your love of the gods with someone else.

I just recently had an experience with this issue. I had been talking to a chick my buddy set me up with for about a week. Everything seemed fine. We had long talks on the phone and had made plans to get together. Except when she found out I was Heathen she got weary. I explained to her a little of our ways, and she seemed to be fine with it. I told her she could google Asatru and get a good idea what it's about. Instead of doing that and being open minded, she blew me off and made excuses why she couldn't meet up. I found out later that she thought I was in a cult or something and was scared to get with me. The way I look at it is, if she couldn't take the time to at least check it out, then she isn't worth my time. I would rather not end up with a xtian woman anyways. The whole issue about kids would be too complicated.

Damn Ransom, that's harsh my brother, well F her!

The kids question is also a HUGE concern

To me RNs, Atheists and Heathens would be the only real choice (or people who identify as christian or whatever but don't really act all "holy" I.e. Moderates (like REALLY moderate) because atleast RNs and athiests can personify science and nature or atleast be cool with how I personify nature and its laws through the Germanic gods, as did my ancestors.

I give everyone the benefit of the doubt regardless of their religion. D-bags will be d-bags in any group.

Having had bad experiences with non-Heathen partners, I would only go with a Heathen one now. But since I'm a hermit now it's a moot point ;)
