Cop Charged With Stealing Thousands From Elderly Mother

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Mo., police sergeant is accused of stealing more than $75,000 from his 67-year-old mother while she was in a nursing home.

Sgt. Mark Stinson, 43, has been charged with misappropriating funds from the elderly nursing home resident. He is a 17-year veteran of the Kansas City Police Department.

I believe he's still in charge. I don't know how the situation resolved. I believe he doesn't wanna talk about it, and it's not really any of our business. He's not in jail so, we can only guess it's resolved in his favour.

It has yet to come to a hearing. His attorney keeps getting continuances. I think the hearing comes up towards the end of this month, that is if they do not get another continuance. It is a sad situation. Anyway, he is still in charge of JBK. Rod Landreth of course was removed from the kindred. He was their godhi. I am not sure what lead to that situation. Certainly, things have not been good for JBK this year.

According to Rod and Mark it was an amicable split.
