Re: Patron gods
Nice! A very rough, aggressive style. The teacher who taught me Northern Shaolin also took that form. I've thought it was essential for a balance between soft and hard forms, Northern Shaolin being the more graceful style while something like Boxing or Krav Maga being a more aggressive style. Has good results

Re: Patron gods
I've won some tournaments with it, but that was a long time ago. I've forgotten most of it and I don't know of any place around here that teaches it.

Re: Patron gods
Yeah, you see that with most traditional styles. Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai and Ju Jitsu are taking over. There's nothing wrong with those styles, but there's a lot missing from those that are offered in other various forms.

I don't use the term patron but but the god I feel kin with the most, trust with every fibre of my being and have sworn personal oath to is Thunor. Hael Thunor!

Re: Patron gods
Being shamanic rather than Heathen (per se)
I can't say that I have a "Patron"
My calling started with Freya...who being the fickle whatnot that she is pops in occasionally...The Woden started to take an interest...but Woden is a bit aloof and doesn't get involved much...Loki was a surprise but there is a lot that can be learned from him....never fully trust him though and have to see through the wyrd a bit..Thunor is the protector
more than gods - who I'll light a candle to and leave out a drop of Jaegermeister for - I work with Disir and alfar and use both fylgia and Hugr in my wanderings
it's complicated
